24th October - Ghost Town Came Out
If you don't fancy sitting in the cold at Trafalgar Square and if you're not in Hertfordshire, then the cinema should be your next stop tonight. The new Ricky Gervais film is out in the UK today.
Ghost Town is about a grumpy loner dentist (Gervais) who can see ghosts. Kinnear's character tries to encourage him to break up the upcoming marriage of his late wife (Tea Leoni). Along the way, there's an inept doctor (Kristen Wiig) and a slew of weird characters from the undead.

The sinister plans of Jigsaw continue in this next sequel of the "Saw" movies, with even bigger traps, such as the glass box trap, (which was originally planned to be used in Saw IV, but explored more in Saw V) and life and death situations, all of which we have come to suspect from the "Saw" films.

1st November - Frightfest in London
FrightFest Halloween event. This years event is styled after the brilliant and much missed Shock Around The Clock events at the Scala cinema way back when. Lets start with a world premier. We are delighted to be showcasing Gregory Mandry's cannibal shocker GNAW. The second film of the day is a preview of Hush. Directed by home grown talent Mark Tonderai, HUSH is a road trip to hell. We keep the world premieres coming with director John Harrison's adaptation of best-selling author Clive Barker's tale of a paranormal house of horror, which we previewed back in August, CLIVE BARKERS BOOK OF BLOOD. The final film in part one of the third annual FrightFest Halloween extravaganza is an ICA FrightFest first. In a return of the surprise film, you will be the first audience in the world to see the brand new horror from one of our favourite past FrightFest guests of honour. Start guessing now.
After the surprise film there will be a break for some food and refreshments and allow FrightFesters to stock up for the long night ahead.
First up in part two of this year's Halloween event is a Family Fortunes style quiz. Devilishly devised by best selling author Christopher Fowler and Paul McEvoy, two teams captained by Alan Jones and Evrim Ersoy will battle it out on stage, with the winners walking off with some great prizes. The first film in part two is our retro title for the evening. Horror legend Neil Marshall will introduce a spanking new HD copy of ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK. Next will be a hat trick of UK premiers kicking off with the previously announced MY NAME IS BRUCE, followed by UK director Toby Wilkins' first feature about three people trapped in a remote petrol station under attack from a deadly parasite, SPLINTER. The final film of the night the UK premiere of director James (JASON X) Isaac's monster survival tale PIG HUNT.
This years blockbuster will include freebies, short films, the afore mentioned quiz, Andy (Severance) Nyman introducing his exclusive on-set diary of the making of DEAD SET, plus all the usual FrightFest surprises. Tickets cost £60. What can I say, you just have to be there.
