SCI FI London Festival Latest

October 2, 2008 10:38 AM

Here is the latest from our friends at SCI-FI-LONDON OKTOBERFEST which starts this Friday

With our notorious anime all-nighter getting a 5th movie added to the line-up (can we tell them we got BLEACH in the building? Ed.), a few short surprises in their MST3K all-nighter and some great goodies to give away at the ZOMBIE all-nighter - you'd be right in thinking it can't get any better. Well we have just got confirmation that we can screen an episode (on the big screen!) of the mew animated STAR WARS series, CLONE WARS.

On Saturday 4th October at 11.00am, along with the FREE screening of JJ Abram's FRINGE, we have an episode entitled AMBUSH from the CLONE WARS series - woohoo! Thanks go to Sky Movies, Sky HD, Sky 1 and Lucasfilm for letting us have these for the festival - tickets are still available. Whilst it is free you do need to call the box office to reserve your ticket 020 7451 9944.

Next up, and the good news keeps coming, we have been given ANOTHER discount voucher code by PLAY.COM for readers of this newsletter. From this Thursday until Midnight on Sunday (Oct 2 - 5) you can get 5% of any purchase at Play by using the code SCIOKT.

The we use the code the more likely we are to get another one, so go mad. And just so you know, we do not benefit financially from your purchases - but we did get over a 1000 DVDs to give away at the festival from PLAY.COM - and they will have some special offers on films featured at the festival! These include, Tokyo Zombie, Dead Space: Downfall, Strait Jacket and Hellsing Ultimate...

Tickets are still available for DARK FLOORS - THE LORDI MOTION PICTURE and TERRA, for those of you who prefer sleeping in their own beds. The UK premiere of animated family film TERRA. With an all-star voice cast (Evan Rachel Wood, Brian Cox, Dennis Quaid, Luke Wilson), TERRA is a beautifully imagined reverse alien invasion story, where the humans turn out to be the invading aliens. It is a delight to see and with a strong message. Bring the kids - they can get you in free!

OKTOBERFEST is in London's most luxurious cinema, the Apollo West End on Friday October 3 and tickets are on sale now from the Apollo box office (020 7451 9944).
