And I finally got up and I went to the door, and the door's slightly ajar. I went outside, I'm looking around outside, I don't see him, and all of a sudden I hear police helicopters above the house and ... lights are flashing all over the top of the house. And I'm thinking, "What's going on? What's going on?" And I'm thinking, "Oh, my God, somehow he thinks somebody's [broken into] his house." ... And I look out, ... in the yard, I see two cops with their guns drawn, coming towards [me]. And they're like, "Freeze!" I'm like [raises hands], "I'm his girlfriend! I'm his girlfriend!" And I very consciously go over and I pull open the door, and ... the policeman says to me, "Weren't you in Raiders of the Lost Ark?" I'm like, "YES!!" [laughs]
Can you describe your first meeting with Harrison on set again, after you hadn't seen him for a long time? Was it like a college reunion almost?
Allen: It was fantastic. ... I was just sort of there, with my different costumes. They wanted me to try on stuff, and Harrison just kind of bounded up into my trailer, gave me a big hug, and we just were talking, catching up. I hadn't seen him for a couple of years. You know, we used to live in the same neighborhood in New York, just five or six years ago, so I used to run into him on the sidewalk from time to time, which was quite funny, because he so doesn't want to be recognized when he's out on the street.
He so kind of tries to, you know [mimes covering her face with her coat], not be recognized, and I would see him and I'd go, "Harrison!" And he'd kind of go over, kind of underneath an awning or something, and I'd be, "Harrison! It's Karen!" And then he'd like turn around, and then he'd relax. But he so doesn't want anybody to see him when, you know, he doesn't want to be seen. But I hadn't seen him for maybe four years or something like that. ...
